Can we play on iPhone Duo?
Yes. Monster Maker supports iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo. On Duo, the drawing tools and gallery adapt to the outer and inner displays. You still draw hidden parts in turn and reveal the finished monster together.
How many people can play?
Two or three people make each monster. There are always three parts: head, body and legs. With two players, one person draws twice.
Can kids and adults play together?
Yes. Everyone draws one part of the same creature, with no score or timer. An adult can help younger children start the game and finish their turns. Simple shapes and unexpected combinations are part of the fun.
How can we play at a party?
Each game has two or three players. For a larger party, make pairs or trios with one device or folded sheet of paper per group, or rotate players between completed monsters. Show everyone the results at the end.
Can we play without internet?
Yes. Games on one iPhone or iPad work offline. Download the app before you go, then pass the device between players. Online invitations and iCloud syncing need an internet connection.
Can we draw together online?
Yes. Invite friends with a link or game code and take turns from your own devices. Online play is asynchronous, so everyone can draw when it suits them. Check the app for current purchase requirements.
Is this a drawing and guessing game?
You create a monster together by drawing hidden parts. The surprise is the completed creature, rather than guessing a word from someone else’s picture.
Do we need an Apple Pencil?
No. You can draw with your finger on iPhone or iPad. Apple Pencil is also supported on compatible iPads.
